Next steps for MOS1 – 42 Houses north of School Lane

Following a packed public meeting, The Parish Council would like to thank all those who attended and for putting forward their very useful and illuminating views.  At the current time the deadline for submitting comments to NFDC is still uncertain; as a result, the Parish Council urges all those who would like to comment to do so as soon as possible.

If you commented on the previous application you need to resubmit your comments for these amended plans

  1. I am writing to object to this application (10606) because:

    this site was deselected as Green Belt in order for 30 homes to be built to consist of affordable houses so that LOCAL people would benefit.

    Pennyfarthing Developments have applied to build 42 dwellings
    on this site with a reduced percentage of affordable homes
    This planning application therefore does not meet the established need of people with a strong
    connection to Milford on Sea for family housing which was reason for the sacrifice of this Green Belt land in
    the first instance

    NFDC’s adopted policy states that any development of Green Belt land must provide 70% affordable dwellings so it would be going against your own policy.

    More green belt land would also be given over to the proposed car park to the north of the school and it is also felt that this is sited in a dangerous location close to a bend on the B3058.

    Under the proposed new local plan Milford on Sea is likely to have to build 110 new dwellings yet these dwellings will not be included in this number.
